We find that the current options for reacting to e-mail interactions is lacking in the current version. Namely the fact that we can't add a path in the CA for any customers who haven't received the e-mail at all. If, say, the e-mail bounced, the customer won't get any further in the flow, but we have no good way of knowing about it.
I'm aware, that we can track e-mail events related to the CA, but this isn't tracked in the statistics and we can't branch on this from within the CA. It would be helpful if e-mail interactions were a bit more flexible in this regard.
In version 11.4, we added some additional options that can be checked for emails in a decision node on the negative path of an Email Interaction trigger, such as Hard Bounced, Soft Bounced or Marked as Spam.
