Map Country from Event Participant to Country of the lead during Lead creation

We have the GoToWebinar connector and the participants always need to select their country from the GoToWebinar picklist. This field is than taken over to the event participant but there it is a single free text field. As our lead also has a country pick list it is not possible to map it with a workflow.

Can there be any idea from ClickDimensions like as well a country pick list field on the event participant?
