In the original drag and drop editor, if an image was less than 600px, it would not scale up to the 600px width, it would stay it's size. In the new editor at a certain breakpoint, an image will scale to 100% width. This makes things like headers, footers, and signatures with logos and profile photos look awful because they get blown up. Also for images less than 600px, if they are set as a background image, they are always repeated. It would be great to have an option to turn that off. There is also currently no way to add an alt tag to images added to an email.
The new editor provides email wide standards for the full range of headers and also links. There isn't anything for paragraphs. If someone uses different fonts and sizes from the default paragraph settings, it gets monotonous changing the settings every time a text block is added just to keep a consistent layout.
Favorites is a wonderful thing to have, but there are a few things that could make it better. Currently the order is determined by the last thing favorited, but it would help greatly if those could be organized in some way like by reordering them or being able to section them in different categories. If I'm not the one building an email I want that other person to be able to easily find and use the blocks I've made as favorites for ease of use, and a scrolling list of randomly ordered items doesn't help.
Inbox preview, is this coming to the 2.0 editor? I'd like to see it there, as it's the best way currently for me to see, even if only slightly, what my emails could look like on different platforms. Also, inbox previews don't render freemarker, any reason for that? If that was possible, inbox preview would be much more useful.
