The bounce rate is fine. It's more to do with the number of emails recorded as bounces that actually go through to the inbox. Which is a different metric. Can we Identify this metric, How?

  • Hello Support Team,

We have noticed that sometimes bounced emails still actually deliver. Below is the link which we found from Clickdimension blog
    Link: https://support.clickdimensions.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001156613-ClickDimensions-Bounce-Codes-and-Service-Protection

We have gone through the link and understand that it depends on the email server.

    BUT, our concern is below:
when we see for example '875 contacts have bounced' - this is not entirely accurate? On average what percentage would go through and not bounce?

    Waiting for your comment.

    Regards,
    Chirag Patel

    Hi Chirag,

    Thank you for your patience.

I was able to get in touch with our Deliverability Team, unfortunately they cannot really answer your question on average what percentage would go through and not bounce. They mentioned and it's also mentioned in the article below, a bounce rate under 5% is good and as long as you send to all valid email addresses everything should be delivered.
