Campaign automation takes so long to deliver small numbers of emails when sent to the whole audience at the same time.
For instance, when we want to send email reminders 30 min before the start time session to warn the event registered contacts, we notice that it takes 9+ minutes to deliver 150+ emails. This scenario is not isolated, we experienced this in all these types of campaigns.
I usually set up the automation using an "Added to Marketing List" as an entry point, then I place a wait step before the email sends to make sure that the contacts will be ready to receive the email at a very specific date and time, so it should not be any delay as the contacts are already there, especially managing this low volume.
Campaign automation split the campaign into many Email Sends, which is super annoying when looking at the heat maps for instance. We can't rely on CD to send these time sensitive campaigns and we kindly as to consider this request to fix the issue.
