A trigger to do something for new leads only,

Hi, Our system is based on many regions Australia, Ireland, Great Britain and has different permissions. When a new lead is created the owner defaults to #_Click PRODUCTIONS and regional administrators can't see the new leads. It would be good to have a trigger to assign an owner based on the region whenever a New Lead is created. Currently we assign an owner when a form/survey/subscription page is completed but that means repetition. it would be good to have one global campaign automation instead of having to recreate this every time for every Form/Survey/Subscription

    Hi Natalie,

    We’ve added the ability to create a Dynamic Segment in our Release Version 2023.04 and is generally available for all in 2023.10. You will find the step by step instructions on how to create a Segment here, and how to use the Added to Segment within Campaign Automation here. Having the ability to create a Segment should solve this use case as you can now create a segment for newly created leads and use it in Campaign Automation to assign the owner based on the region.

    Hi Natalie,

    We're planning on introducing Segments in the near future, this will allow you to create a segment for newly created leads and use it in Campaign Automation to assign the owner based on the region. In the meantime, this is easily feasible using Dynamics Workflows, every time a new lead is created in your CRM by that user, you can assign the owner based on your own criteria. One workflow could contain all conditions, so you don't need a separate one for each type. Assuming the region is a field or a Business Unit or anything that can be queried.
