We are using CD forms on our main website contact form. The legacy form builder allowed you to add hidden or non-visible fields as well as assign the field to a selection.
In our case, we would like to have the new Form Designer to be able to:
Add hidden fields mapped to Leads entity.
Assign the Lead Topic to a prefilled text i.e. "A new website lead"
Assign the Lead source to "website."
I have attempted using form logic and Microsoft flows in order to achieve above, however, with every test form capture, both fields remain empty/blank when received.
We plan on using CD forms for lead capture for different occasions and environments. We would like to continue to use the new Form Designer as it provides a wide range of automation tools and notifications that the legacy form builder does not.
Hello, the Data section of a Form field can be used to set default values. Also, you can make a Form Field hidden by un-checking the Visible checkbox.

For advanced source tracking you can set up UTMs as follows: https://support.clickdimensions.com/hc/en-us/articles/13346537543693-UTM-Form-Tracking
UTM Tracking via Single Input Fields:
In the Form Designer, Single Input fields can be mapped to UTM parameters, so that the UTM parameters will be included in the Form Submission's associated Form Field records. This method works with standalone non-embedded Forms and with widget-embedded Forms. It does not work for iFrame-embedded Forms.
To track UTM parameters via a Single Input Form Field, in the Form Designer create a Single Input Form Field mapped to UTM:
Then, in this Form Field's mapping properties, select the specific UTM Parameter that you would like to pull into the field:
Now, whenever someone submits this Form while the corresponding UTM parameter is present in the Form URL, that UTM parameter will be included in the Posted Field record generated for this specific Form Field. Of course, if the UTM Parameter is not present in the Form URL, there will be nothing for the UTM Single Input field to capture.
You are free to add multiple Single Input Form Fields to capture any or all of the five UTM parameters.
A Single Input Form Field mapped to a UTM parameter will be hidden in the live Form, so that nobody viewing the live Form will be able to see your Single Input UTM fields. Your UTM Single Input fields are available for use with Form Logic.
We've just started to use the new designer and have discovered we can't use hidden fields like we do on the legacy designer. We use hidden fields to set Lead owner and various other fields when triggering cloud flows. This is a must for us!
