When you use the CD Import wizard to import event participation records, there's a step where you have to specify the name of the Event.
You can use a popup window to search for the Event.
That window only has a column for Event Name.
It would be great to add the Event Start Date as a column.
Sometimes we have multiple events with very similar (or even identical) names, and it's difficult (or even impossible) to differentiate Events. The additional column would help make each Event unique.
