Link or lock Marketing lists to subscriptions lists

When I add a marketing list to a subscription list it is visible on the subscription list only. On the Marketing list, however, I can't see that it is in use as the receiver of opt in/out form a subscription list. 

Can this be made possible? e.g. through a type on the marketing list or a "lock" on the marketing list?
