European/international customers would want to use local SMS Providers to get accecc to local shortnumber. Most times thay also have their own deals/contracts with these providers, where they get better deals than through Twilio/BulkSMS.
It would be nice to have a generic SMS Adapter/interface to send or retrieve SMS through Click Dimensions. This will give the customers the ability to use their local providers, but still be able to use the full potential of Click Dimensions.
One way of implementing this could be a Azure ServiceBus Adapter, where we in a configuration page provide a Service Bus Queue Endpoint for outgoing SMS and an Endpoint for incoming or SMS statistics. You will also then provide a document descibing the format of the messages put on the outgoing queue, and the format for stats / incoming for the incoming queue.
The SMS generated by Click Dimensions, either through Bulk SMS or Campaign Automation will be put on the outgoing queue rather than sent through Twilio or BulkSMS. This will give Click Dimension partner the total freedom of providing SMS to our customers using their preferred SMS Provider.
The delivery of the SMS from the Azure ServiceBus Queue to the SMS Provider will of course be the responability of the partner.

I would love if Click Dimensions would work with Microsoft and its Power Platform connectors. This would make life easier on everyone.
