I find it really time consuming and a bit annoying to always have to re-add the template to an email send/automated campaign email action if there are any changes made to the original template.
We have a process in place at the company I work for to try and ensure that the copy is signed off before it is implemented within a template, however, even if this is done there are sometimes some minor changes afterwards so the template does need updating be it once or more.
It is really easy to forget which email templates need re-adding, and hard to know if the new version of the template are already selected on a send or in a journey. There have been instances where we thought we had re-added the template with the updates but it turned out we hadn't, so the old template version was sent out/used instead.
It would be great for the template to be automatically updated across all entities, or perhaps a notification to say that a more recent version of the template is available to be added when viewing an email send or in the builder of an automated journey.
What are other users opinions about this?
I completely agree! Was about to enter an enhancement request for this same issue. It seems archaic that there's not a way to update the templates with the changes. It is quite stressful to remember to do this mundane task when the program should have a "save as" the same template or potentially create a new one if that is needed. It would be great if this feature was available automatically.
