I have run several tests using a Custom HTML template to see if I can replace an image in an email that has already been sent using ClickDimensions. I was able to accomplish this by hosting the image on my company's web server and then overwriting the image after sending. I tested it in Outlook 2010 and Gmail (web); it worked in both clients.
This did not work when I uploaded the image to ClickDimensions' Image Manager. First, the Image Manager does not allow overwriting/replacing an image with the same file name, so I first deleted the image and uploaded the replacement image with the same file name. I confirmed in the template's preview that the new image displayed with the same URL, but the new image would not replace the original in either email client.
Since the image swap worked when I hosted the images on my server, I assume the issue is with ClickDimensions' Image Manager. It would be great if this was changed so I don't have to go to two places in order to send an email that uses images.
