ClickDimensions matches against the first email address found - regardless of Inactive/Active record status

ClickDimensions currently searches for an email address to determine if a record already exists with the same email address. ClickDimensions will find the first available match and update that record with the related Posted Form or Subscription Preference for example.

THE PROBLEM: ClickDimensions does NOT take into account the status of that record. Therefore if there is a deactivated Lead and an active Contact record, and ClickDimensions finds the inactive Lead record first, it will attempt to attached the subscription preference against the inactive Lead record. The Contact record is then NOT updated and this creates a big problem for best email marketing practices and recipients being able to unsubscribe!

Perhaps there could be an option to create the new contact with the same Owner as the Form.

It also does not distinguish between two contacts with the same emai address but belonging to two different busines units. We use business unit ownership to separate records from being viewd by different users, so it is quite feasible to have two contacts with the same email address.

ClickDimensions will set the subscription preferences against the wrong contact.
