Allow accessing/controlling Campaign Automations from the CRM

I think it would be a good addition if Campaign Automations were more accessible from the CRM side. What we have now is that we can add participants manually by going into the CRM yourself, going to a Contact and adding them.

What I'd like to see at least is:

  • Being able to add participants via a Workflow (I'm now doing this via marketing lists, but that feels like a workaround)
  • Being able to remove participants via a Workflow (example for us: person becomes applicant for a study programme and should be removed from certain campaign automations. It's a hassle to build in this check for every step in the automation)
  • Being able to remove participants via the Contact/Lead form
  • Being able to see in which CAs the Contact/Lead is/was on the Contact/Lead form

We have some ongoing Campaign Automations and I think these additions would benefit how we can control the flow of the participants.

I'd also like to hear what others think and if you have any additions :-)

    Hi Yorick,

We’ve added the ability to create a Dynamic Segment in our Release Version 2023.04. You will find the step by step instructions on how to create a Segment here, and how to use the Added to Segment within Campaign Automation here. You can now create a Segment with Custom fields associated to a Contact, lead or Account and any related entities, with this new feature it should address this use case.

    Regards,
