Save Send Record prior to Sending

I have come across the problem where I make changes to fields in the send record at the last minute, but when I press Send, the changes do not take effect because I didn't first click Save prior to sending. While this is obviously a user error (and I'm sure I'm not the only one to make this error), it seems like a fairly simply software tweak could solve this problem, resulting in a more user-friendly product. You can do this by making the Send button a two-stage action. When you click Send, the first action should save the current record, and the second action should initiate the send.
