Prevent emails from being sent to the same user twice

Hi guys, we are setting up a�Double�Opt-In process for our newsletter subscribers with Campaign Automation. When submitting a form, the user gets an email to confirm his subscription. We have noticed that some of our users have a slight tendency of submitting the form multiple times in a 10 min period.

How can we�prevent emails from being sent to the same user twice? Actually, we would like that our users receive only one Opt-In email in 24 hours. Suppressed Dynamic Marketing Lists are out of the question.
